Thirty years ago and every year since, we have been bombarded by the scariest stories told to children to make them behave themselves or force them to go in a particular direction. The stories, of course, in all cultures are just that…stories told to children. The current story, however, has gripped the minds of so-called-adults, who offer up a terrified child to lead us to the promised land. Where have we heard this story before?
Some of the stories persist in one form or another for thousands of years. They are called religions, and they affect almost everyone on the planet. And then science comes along and says look through this tube and you will see that the earth is not the center of the universe, and the heavens are not as we have been told in the infinite creation stories.
