We will be presenting a special program furthering the mission of CPW's goal to support citizen science documenting the population dynamics of raptors found in Colorado's State Park System.

  • Birds of Prey Men’s Alpine Races at Beaver Creek

    At Beaver Creek Mountain, the Birds of Prey racecourse takes center stage, offering a thrilling challenge to top skiers from around the globe. For two action-packed weeks, watch as they tackle exhilarating Men’s and Women’s Alpine super-G, giant slalom, and downhill events, turning the slopes into a high-speed spectacle of skill and excitement. Our female bald eagle will be appearing in the VIP area at the finish line. Our raptors have been part of the symbolic presence of these international races since the Birds of Prey racecourse opening in 1997. Various parts of the racecourse are named after raptor species.
