We are open to the general public by advanced reservation. Please scroll down for reservation requests.

UPDATE: As of June 13, 2026 we have no visitor spots available until August 17, 2026. We are taking reservations for dates after 8/16/2026!

Please note that we require at least ten (10) days’ notice when submitting visit requests from all visitors. We limit the number of visitors for the same reasons our national parks and state campgrounds. Current REF members, Buteo Level or higher, have free access and may bring guests…see membership privileges here. For non-members or those whose membership levels do not include free visits, the admission price is $20/person (18 and older) and $15/person for 17 years and younger. You can pay for the visit using a credit card via our PayPal link. If you cannot use PayPal, we will take a credit card payment over the phone when your reservation is confirmed. Payment is due prior to your visit.

The average visit lasts approximately 60 minutes. Our site is located near Barr Lake State Park.  When your visit is confirmed, we will provide the street address with directions and additional information

Therapy, companion, comfort, or assistance animals and pets do not qualify as service animals and are not permitted on our campus. Service animals are not allowed in our mews.  No unconfirmed visitors are allowed. Thank you.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Part of our facility has a gravel substrate, which may make walking difficult for those using walkers, or anyone with other ambulatory restrictions such as wheelchairs. Children four and under, may have difficulty lasting the whole tour, and without adequate supervision they will need to have an adult or guardian sit with them in the office.

Specific Seasonal Restrictions: Due to seasonal management issues, some dates are blocked out for all visitors without any notice.  Should this apply to your request we will let you know.
