Hawks: Raptor ID Course

On Saturday, September 22, the Raptor Education Foundation will present “Hawks”, a new identification class designed to allow participants to easily distinguish a hawk from other birds, and from other kinds of raptors. REF's live raptors will be featured, coupled with the combined skill and experience of Colorado Parks & Wildlife Raptor Monitor Karen Metz and Anne Price, REF's Curator of Raptors.   Join us for our annual Fall Open House, and catch up with what's happened over the summer with our raptors.  Come see the color changes in our teenage bald eagle, and meet some brand-new birds! Once again, we will be joining Colorado Parks & Wildlife Raptor Monitors for their annual meeting. We will have a variety of our live raptors available to help the monitors hone their identification skills, and share any new developments relating to raptor populations in Colorado, any taxonomic changes, and anything else of interest to raptorphiles.
